On every project we take one of two roles, never both. As independent advisor we are paid a fee, earn nothing on hardware and take no commission from manufacturers or installers.

Advisory work runs in seven steps, from the first look at your load profile, the record of your site’s power demand over the year, to the acceptance test of the finished system. Each step is priced on its own scope, so you can stop after any of them.

We write the specification before any installer sees the project, so every bid you receive answers the same document and prices the same scope.
One specification makes the bids comparable.
Bids only become comparable when a specification written to standard exists before anyone prices the work. If we wrote the tender, we do not bid on it ourselves.

We review the contractor’s design before you sign it and run the acceptance test before you pay, so the risk sits with the party who can actually judge it.
We work as your engineer on the project, never for the installer.
