Equator Solar Systems Ltd, the East African company ZNX Energy works with, built all of these projects. ZNX has no completed reference in Germany yet. kWp is the peak output of the solar panels, and kWh is the energy the battery can store. Hybrid means the system combines solar, battery and grid, and at Jesa also the diesel generators.
500 kWp PV + 200 kWh battery
This tea factory is on a rural grid that could not deliver a steady supply. Solar now covers most of the working day, so the factory relies far less on the grid and burns less fuel.
100 kWp PV + 120 kWh battery
In this specialist orthopaedic hospital, the operating theatres and imaging cannot go without power. The system keeps the critical circuits supplied first, and the generator starts automatically when an outage lasts longer.
