What we do

Two roles, never both on one project

Independent advice from the first load profile to acceptance, or turnkey delivery through partners. We state our role up front.

How we work

Most buyers need an engineer on their side before they need a battery.

We start as an independent advisor for load-profile analysis, feasibility study, specification, tendering, owner's engineering (an engineer who represents you, the owner, on the project) and acceptance. You pay a fee for this, never a share of what gets installed. We deliver turnkey, under one contract and through vetted installation partners under our supervision, only on projects where we did not write the tender or evaluate the bids. In either role the systems range from 50 kWh to the low megawatt-hour range, and we stay manufacturer-independent.

Analysis and Decision

We find out where your peak comes from and whether storage is worth it.

Engineers and site staff on a site visit next to a large water tank

A load-profile analysis reads your metered quarter-hour data to find the peak and a first sizing band. A feasibility study then turns that result into a technical and economic assessment written to the energy-audit standard.

  • Load-profile analysis: peak, drivers and a first sizing band
  • Feasibility study: sizing variants, grid assessment and an economic case
  • Energy audit (EDL-G, EnEfG), with storage and PV potential assessed inside it

Specification and Tendering

Every bidder answers the same manufacturer-neutral specification.

Battery inverters and charge controllers installed in a switch room

We write the specification, run the tender and put every bid into one comparison on the same basis. If you already hold quotes without a specification behind them, we can review those on their own.

  • Specification (Lastenheft) and bidder shortlist
  • Tender management and normalised bid comparison
  • Quote review for quotes you already hold

Owner's Engineering and Acceptance

An engineer represents you from the contract to the final sign-off.

Owner's engineering covers design review, site supervision and witnessing the commissioning on your behalf. Acceptance testing is the independent check of the installed system before the final invoice is paid.

  • Design review, site supervision and commissioning witness
  • Acceptance testing against contract and standard before final payment
  • Billed by day rate or fixed fee, agreed up front

Delivery

Turnkey Delivery

One contract covers the complete storage system.

Engineering, manufacturer-neutral procurement and installation by vetted partners under our supervision all come under one fixed-price contract. We only offer this where we did not write the tender or evaluate the bids.

The advisory path

Seven steps, each one optional

You can start at any step. Most clients start with their load profile and stop once their question is answered.

1

Load-profile analysis

We find the peak in your metered data and a first sizing band.

2

Feasibility study

We turn the sizing into a technical and economic assessment written to standard.

3

Specification and tendering

We fix what you buy before any bidder prices it, run the tender and put every bid onto one comparison.

4

Quote review

We review quotes you already hold, even when no specification stands behind them.

5

Owner's engineering

We review the design and supervise the site on your behalf.

6

Acceptance testing

We check the installed system before the final invoice is paid.

7

Energy audit

We carry out the energy audit (EDL-G, EnEfG) and assess storage and PV potential inside it.

Principles

Three rules keep us independent

These rules apply to every project, whether we advise or deliver turnkey.

One role per project

On every project we take one of two roles, never both. As independent advisor we are paid a fee, earn nothing on hardware and take no commission from manufacturers or installers. As turnkey partner we deliver the system through vetted installation partners under one contract. If we wrote the specification or evaluate the bids, we do not bid.

No hardware, no software, no assets

ZNX sells no own hardware brand, develops no own control software and owns no energy assets.

Fee stated up front

Load-profile analysis, feasibility studies, quote reviews and acceptance tests are offered at a fixed price agreed on the scope. Owner's engineering is billed by day rate or as a fixed fee. Turnkey delivery is a fixed-price contract.
